Ruka Weekend - Ski Jumping // Start of the Season 2020/2021

Dear ski jumping family,

I miss you!

I am really happy that the new season started. The fist competition in Wisla was kind of surprising, because the Austrian boys were in so good form (Daniel Huber -3rd place), but Stefan Kraft couldn’t get points. Some of our favorites were back on the hill like Andreas Wellinger and Severin Freund and team Germany is on fire this season. Markus Eisenbichler and Karl Geiger was the other two in the podium. Strong team Poland as usually.

Then, Ruka.

The competitions in Kuusamo are always hard for watching. First because of the wind and second they are so long in the time and unexpected. I remembered very clear the fall of Andi Wellinger or this of Peter Prevc. Horrible. This season we had two I repeat two individual competition, long but very interesting.

In the first one Markus Eisenbichler got the second win for the season followed by Piotr Żyła and Dawid Kubacki ( the winner of the Summer Grand Prix, the last two seasons).
